Horse Comments:
#1 Annan (5-1) rallied for minor awards in his last three turf starts and was the beaten even money favorite last time. He should save ground behind the speed under his new rider Hector Berrios (profitable 24% turf rider).
#6 Winning Patriot (6-1) is a first timer for Carla Gaines and he fired local bullets for this on March 28 and April 20. Om is a 21% first turf sire and dam has produced two turf winners. He could easily hit the ground running under Luis Saez.
#11 Miles Finch (5-2) was forwardly placed in all four starts and he hit the board each time. He was the beaten favorite twice. Profitable turf rider Juan Hernandez stays put and he fired a 5f bullet for this April 21.
#7 Shapoval (4-1) settled for minor awards in all three starts including a neck defeat March 16. Tyler Baze stays put and he is 1-for-62 on turf.
#2 Zagreus (6-1) improved second time out and adds lasix for the first time. He might move forward again for profitable second after a layoff trainer Leonard Powell.
#4 Just a Graze (8-1) stretched out, chased the pace, and finished an okay 5th of 9 (beaten 4 1/2 lengths) March 29. Mike Puype is 3-for-10 with the blinkers off move.
AE #14 Outworker (7-2) rates a look if he gets in from the AE list. He earned an improved number in a show finish in a dirt sprint April 5. Outwork is a 14% turf sire and dam has tossed a turf winner.
