Check out my Saturday (5-31-25) Churchill Downs Race 10 analysis below.

CD 10 (G3 Blame, 9f) – Post Time 5:27 PM ET
Primary – #7 MOST WANTED, #9 Post Time
Secondary – #8 Banishing, #3 Antiquarian, #2 Alexander Helios

Horse Comments:

#7 Most Wanted (7-2) just goes out there and runs his early-pressing race every time. He won his first four career starts including stakes wins in the Ellis Park Derby and G3 Oklahoma Derby. He was clearly second best behind Rattle N Roll in the G2 Clark last fall and finished in front of his older stablemate Hit Show. He set the pace and was clearly second best behind Skippylongstocking in his G3 Challenger return March 8, and set the pace and was second best behind Fierceness in the G2 Alysheba May 2. He should be right up on the pace and could easily take this.

#9 Post Time (3-1) is 10-for-16 with three runner-up finishes and a trio of show finishes. He hit the board in some big races last year including the G1 Met Mile (2nd), G1 Whitney (3rd), and G1 BC Dirt Mile (2nd). He added blinkers and lasix and aired as the overwhelming favorite in his LRL return May 3. He will be running in the lane.

#8 Banishing (9-2) keeps firing exacta shots for Jacobson and it does not matter if the race is one turn or two turns. He romped in a sprint stakes race in January and that was his third straight win. He set the pace and missed by a head in the G3 Razorback (8.5f) in February, and won the G3 Oaklawn Mile in March. He was clearly second best behind First Mission in the G2 Oaklawn ‘Cap (9f) April 19, and turned back and rallied to miss by a neck in G1 Churchill Downs in the slop at 7f May 3. He reconnects with Flavien Prat and he is 2-for-2 with this barn recently.

#3 Antiquarian (15-1) won the G3 Peter Pan at this distance last year, and was not ready for G1 company when splitting a 10-horse field in the Belmont Stakes. That ended his 2024 campaign and he returned with a smart extended sprint win as the favorite April 19, and runner-up Shaq Diesel won the Big Drama May 24. He projects a stalking trip and still has upside.

#2 Alexander Helios (6-1) was out of the trifecta for the first time since June 2023 when finishing 5th of 8 in the G2 Oaklawn ‘Cap April 19. He fits with these if he runs back to his G3 Razorback win Feb. 23. Irad Ortiz Jr. and Saffie Joseph Jr. teamed up to win two graded races at SA on May 26.
