#8 Doncic (9-2) landed the place at 6T April 20 and Cerin re-claimed him that day. He was my value top choice May 18 and he rallied for the place at this course/distance. Antonio Fresu takes the call and he figures to stalk while out in the clear.
#5 Beef Winslow (5-2) has not finished out of the trifecta since August 2023. He finished in the top three in his last seven starts (3 wins), and he looked good winning a local flat mile $50k claimer as the favorite May 23. He ran well in all three starts at this distance.
#2 Daniel’s Magic (5-1) is a 4-time local winner and he has struck twice at this distance. He returned from a layoff of 7+ months and finished a solid third May 17.
#6 Money Makes Money (6-1) was out of the trifecta for the first time when finishing 5th of 8 at 6T May 17. He hit the board in both starts at this distance and a stalking trip is expected.
