#7 Howbeit (5-2) is a 13-for-53 veteran exiting a solid runner-up finish behind Bronko Nagurski at SA. He is 2-for-2 at LRC and 3-for-5 with a runner-up finish at this abbreviated sprint distance. He projects an outside early-pressing trip.
#5 Bronko Nagurski (2-1) beat my top choice by 3 1/2 lengths at 6f on May 31 and that was his first start after the Jeff Mullins claim. The razor sharp gelding could easily make it three straight stalking victories under Tyler Baze.
#2 Stan From Malibu (6-1) rallied wide to win a local $6250k claimer at this trip on June 20. He is 2-for-2 at the course and distance.
#1 Major Tom (10-1) turns back in distance and has a solid record at 5 1/2 panels (13 3-4-1). The competent sprinter can spice up the exotics.
