Horse Comments:
#1 Icona Mama (5-2) dueled and graduated by 3 1/2 lengths in her local sprint bow last summer. Her next seven starts were stakes races and she romped in the Shamrock Rose at Penn National. She hit the board as the favorite in her last two dirt sprints in the slop. She is versatile and relatively consistent.
#4 Our Lady (9-5) earned quality pace ratings in both easy wins at Woodbine. The $160k Bolt d’Oro filly should be all over the pace and could easily win again as the favorite.
#5 Honorable Win (8-1) competed in PA-bred stakes races in all three starts. She rallied from the inside post to win her fast track debut at Parx last September, and rallied to miss by a half-length at Presque Isle in October. She easily won in the slop at Parx in December and this is her first start since. She improved her numbers in all three starts and will try to get involved from off the pace.
#2 Double Airo (9-2) is based in Maryland and she is in good form. She won dirt sprints at Laurel in March and April, and battled on the pace and was second best as the beaten favorite at Parx on May 7. She exits a runner-up finish in a local sprint and winner I’m Heading East clicked right back in an $8k claiming sprint on June 3.
