Horse Comments:
#6 Princess Runaway (4-1) is 3-for-3 at Presque Isle and the sharp mare should be right up on the pace under leading rider Antonio Gallardo. She chased from second and easily defeated local state bred foes on July 21.
#4 B G Warrior (8-1) exits a runner-up finish in a turf sprint stakes race at Horseshoe Indy. The early-pressing mare has a good overall record on all-weather ground (14 3-4-2). She drilled a bullet for this at Turfway on Aug. 9.
#1 Ms. Tart (2-1) won half of her eight starts on all-weather ground. She won back-to-back optional-claiming synthetic sprints at Gulfstream earlier this year, and was third in the Whimsical (G3) and first in the Royal North (G3) in May. She was 10th and 4th in her last two graded starts at Woodbine. A ground saving stalking trip is expected.
#12 Gal in a Rush (9-5) has been on a steady graded diet since June 2024. She won the Hendrie (G3) last summer and hit the board in the Seaway (G3) and Presque Isle Masters (G2). She returned from a layoff and landed the place in the Whimsical (G3) on May 3, and was 4th and 5th in her last two stakes starts at Woodbine. She is 0-for-5 with a second and a third at this distance and she needs to work out a clean closing trip from the outside post.
#2 Heart (10-1) added blinkers and rallied to win a local allowance sprint as the favorite in May, and she landed the show at 2-1 odds on June 18. Antonio Gallardo opted to ride Princess Runaway and Pablo Morales takes the call and he is the second leading rider.
