#8 Prince of Ayrshire (7-2) rallied to win back-to-back local routes on June 17 and July 14. He closed to finish a neck in front of Adios Buccaneer on July 29, and he made up ground from an outer post and ended up a length and a quarter behind Adios Buccaneer on Aug. 15. He sports four wins at this trip and should be finishing for a recently hot jockey-trainer team.
#1 Uncle Truly (5-2) rallied to win a local route on July 3 and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He was 2-1 vs. this kind on Aug. 15 and he split an 8-horse field. He gets the rail this time and should save ground behind the speed, and his new rider Gaddiel Martinez is 4-for-10 with Juan Arriagada.
#5 Adios Buccaneer (4-1) ran well in his last three local routes. He set above par fractions and was second best on July 8, and he chased from the outside post, led, and was best of the rest in third on July 29. Last time, he stalked from the inside post and was second best. He owns early-pressing versatility and earned an improved number last time.
#6 Why Not Me (3-1) stalked the pace and finished 5th of 8 as the beaten favorite on Aug.15. That was his first start since March 28 and Pablo Morales sticks with him, and he should be forwardly placed.
