#7 Emerald Lake (7-2) landed the place behind Turf and Surf in her last pair. The patient mare is 0-for-5 with three runner-up finishes at FE and she reconnects with her winning rider Leo Salles.
#5 Turf and Surf (5-2) won her last three local starts at 7T. She was claimed on July 14 and captured her last pair as the favorite. She usually fires at FE (8 3-2-2) and will try to get involved late in a race lacking front end speed.
