Check out my Wednesday (9-10-25) Kentucky Downs Race 10 analysis below.
KD 10 (G3 Dueling Grounds Oaks, 3yo Fillies, 1 5/16 miles turf) – Post Time 6:31 PM ET
Primary – #2 DESTINO D’ORO, #7 Fionn
Secondary – #6 Reigning Flowers, #4 Princess Attitude, #1 Daisy Flyer
Horse Comments:
#2 Destino d’Oro (9-2) is lightly raced and versatile, and she is a head away from a perfect 4-for-4 record. She showed improved tactical speed in a sharp victory by 3 3/4 lengths as the favorite in the G3 Pucker Up Aug. 3. Last summer, she rallied to break her maiden in a local flat mile turf race in her career debut.
#7 Fionn (2-1) is 5-for-7 with a runner-up finish and a show finish. She rallied to capture the G3 Regret on May 31, and she nipped next-out G1 Alabama winner Nitrogen by a nose in the G1 Belmont Oaks July 5. Flavien Prat got acquainted with her last time and she could easily run past this group.
#6 Reigning Flowers (15-1) exits an even fourth in the G2 Lake Placid and that slow early/fast late event did not set up for her. She completed the trifecta on four occasions in the stakes ranks and might outrun her odds under John Velazquez.
#4 Princess Attitude (20-1) gets the services of recently hot rider Frankie Dettori and he is 6-for-27 at Kentucky Downs. This one has the pedigree to handle this trip (Frankel-Keertana, by Johar), and she rallied to miss by a half-length in a local turf sprint last summer.
#1 Daisy Flyer (6-1) is a late runner exiting a neck victory in the G3 Lake George at Saratoga. She rallied to earn her diploma by a head in a local flat mile turf race last summer and the runner-up was a next-out winner.
