Check out my Thursday (9-18-25) Remington Park Race 8 analysis below.

RP 8 (Alw-39k/2L, F&M, 6.5f dirt) – Post Time  10:16 PM ET
Primary – #2 MYSIDEHUSTLE, #4 Kerry’s Kiss
Secondary – #3 Tappi First, #7 Signora Vittoria

Horse Comments:

#2 Mysidehustle (7-2) rallied for the place in her career debut and the show finisher was a next-out winner, and she was 4th of 10 second time out. Those races were in 2023 and she missed all of 2024. She returned from a long layoff and romped by 6 1/4 lengths for her new trainer Scott Young on July 3 (first lasix), and she rallied to miss by a neck as the beaten favorite in a similar course/distance affair Aug. 21.

#4 Kerry’s Kiss (9-2) was up the track in her first two sprints at 73-1 and 27-1. She stretched out, added lasix, dropped into a Mcl-30k affair Jan. 31, and she dueled and missed by a half-length in the mud. She set a pressured pace and was clearly second best in a Mcl-80k affair March 16, and she graduated in the mud vs. Mcl-50k foes April 4. She hit the board in her last two starts on April 27 and June 7. Her last five starts were at one mile and she was part of the trifecta in all of those races. She turns back for her new trainer Joel Marr.

#3 Tapit First (5-2) finished in the top three in eight of nine outings. She graduated in her career debut at 4.5f (April 2024) and was up the track second time out. She completed the trifecta in six of her last seven starts and should be forwardly placed at a speed friendly distance for the productive Elliott/Asmussen team.

#7 Signora Vittoria (4-1) finally graduated in her 18th career start at this distance at Louisiana Downs on Aug. 19 and she was strong from off the pace at 2-1 odds that day. She finished in the top three in all four MSW starts since moving to the Robertino Diodoro barn and her new rider Ramon Vazquez is 6-for-19 with this outfit.
