#4 Grand Slam Smile (7-5) always finishes in the top three (15 8-6-1). She likes to win races and has won at 7f before, and is 0-for-3 with a pair of runner-up finishes and a show finish at DMR. She owns early-pressing versatility.
#2 No Cap (5-1) finished in the top three in 6 of 7 starts in 2025. She won a SA dirt sprint in May and a local turf sprint in August, and she stretched out, set the pace, and settled for the place at one mile Oct. 12. She is back in a sprint and should be forwardly placed under her winning rider Umberto Rispoli.
#7 Issa Court (5-1) was a close third in the California Distaff last time and that was her first start after the Hess Jr. re-claim. The surface switcher likes fast dirt (10 3-2-1) and her winning rider Hector Berrios should have early-pressing options.
#6 Sneaker (3-1) defeated Grand Slam Smile as my top choice in the California Distaff and 6.5T Oct. 12, and Grand Slam Smile beat her by a half-length in the local Solana Beach at 8T on Aug. 17. This is her first dirt start and her winning rider Rispoli jumps over to No Cap.
