Horse Comments:
#8 McKinzie Street (8-1) stretches back out and returns to the stakes ranks after back-to-back allowance sprint wins. He is quick enough to make the early lead and might get brave if able to shake loose early for the productive Valenzuela/Evans team. He finished in the top three in eight of nine career starts.
#7 Mister Omaha (3-1) is capable of big efforts and should be forwardly placed. The G3 Oklahoma Derby show finisher dusted OK-bred stakes foes as the strong favorite on Oct. 17. He will probably try to chase McKinzie Street and get first run if/when that rival weakens.
#3 Brotha Keny (5-2) had his 5-race trifecta streak snapped when missing the show by a head in an OC-80k/3x dirt route at KEE vs. older foes on Oct. 24. He is back in the sophomore stakes ranks and he landed the show in the G3 Indiana Derby and G3 West Va. Derby, and wired two rivals in the Bourbon Flight. He reunites with his winning rider Joseph Ramos and he owns running style versatility.
#5 Amorosa (4-1) is a consistent Iowa-bred colt with top three finishes in all ten starts (7 wins). Jack’s Time beat him last time and that one has won four straight and that one has captured four straight and won again on Nov. 8. He owns early-pressing versatility and is getting faster.
