Check out my Thursday (11-27-25) Fair Grounds Race 10 analysis below.

FG 9 (Thanksgiving Classic, 3&up, 6f dirt) – Post Time  5:00 PM ET
Primary – #8 MONDOGETSBUCKETS, #9 The Wine Steward
Secondary – #3 Mendelssohn, #7 Surveillance

Horse Comments:

#8 Mondogetsbuckets (6-1) is 4-for-6 with a pair of runner-up finishes since moving to the Chris Block barn in March. The 4-year-old gelding owns running style versatility and is getting faster.

#9 The Wine Steward (7-2) exits a New York-bred stakes win as the favorite. Mike Maker’s relatively consistent colt is 2-for-2 at this distance. He adds lasix and drew the comfortable outside post.

#3 Mendelssohn (8-1) battled on the pace and settled for the show in a turf sprint at KEE on Oct. 18 and that was his first start in more than half a year. The versatile colt likes this distance (6 2-3-0) and owns competitive numbers.

#7 Surveillance (6-1) won a stakes race at RP in his first start after the Mike Maker claim Sept. 28. He disappointed last time but is 6-for-7 with a runner-up finish at FG. The veteran gelding won this race in 2022.
