Horse Comments:
#2 King of Dragons (4-1) graduated at 8T (November 2024) and was unplaced in his next two starts. He went to the sidelines for 8+ months and rallied for the place at 8T Nov. 8, and that was his first start as a gelding. Mirco Demuro is his new rider and he worked a half-mile in 48.00 (2/77) on all-weather ground at SA Jan. 4.
#4 Cali Cat (7-2) turned back and finished last of 7 in the California Flag Oct. 11 and winner Man O Rose clicked right back in The Chosen Vron in November. He stretches back out and should be forwardly placed under his new rider Hector Berrios.
#11 Afternoon Nap (6-1) exits a show finish at 5T and winner Flyover won again Nov. 28. He sports a pair of local wins at 6T and tries to navigate two turns.
#9 Refocus (8-1) stretches out for Doug O’Neill and he saddled four winners on Jan. 9. Umberto Rispoli is a quality turf pilot.
#8 Frank Bullitt (8-1) hit the board in two of four turf sprint attempts. He stretches out in distance and should impact the pace.
