Check out my Wednesday (1-14-26) Tampa Bay Downs Race 7 analysis below.

TAM 6 (OC-16k, 1 mile 70 yards dirt) – Post Time 2:50 PM ET
Primary – #4 CAPITAN DANNY, #7 The Best Distance
Secondary – #3 Peruvian Lucky, #8 Cyberbeast

Horse Comments:

#4 Capitan Danny (5-2) has not been in a two turn race since he competed in Peru in 2024. All five starts in this country were at GP at one mile and he landed the place twice. He broke slow and the race flow was against him Dec. 14. This is his second start off a layoff and a stalking trip is expected.

#7 The Best Distance ((3-1) won his last two local claiming starts at this trip by a combined 17 1/4 lengths. Michael Simone nabbed him out of his last for $10k and he is back in a week and should be all over the pace under his new rider Samy Camacho.

#3 Peruvian Lucky (9-2) goes turf to dirt for sharp local trainer Darien Rodriguez (18 5-3-6 at TAM) and this is his third start off a layoff. He graduated on dirt and reunites with Samuel Marin (22% at TAM).

#8 Cyberbeast (8-1) aired by 17 lengths in a local Mcl-10k sprint Dec. 31 and that was his first start after the Juan Arriagada claim. He stretches back out and should be forwardly placed.
