#6 Standpoint (5-2) was unplaced as a 20-1 longshot in a local route Sept. 7. He is back with state bred friends, and he rallied to miss by a neck in a similar local route at 2-1 odds Aug. 31. He should get pace to chase and Martina Rojas is 4-for-11 with this barn.
#2 Drunkle (6-1) rallied to win a local $5k claiming route at 7-2 odds Aug. 25 and earned a competitive number that day. The class riser drilled a local 4f bullet for this Sept. 3, and the 4-time local winner has scored twice at this distance. His new rider Gaddiel Martinez is a profitable 25% with Kevin Rice.
#1 Big Run (3-1) was part of the exacta as the betting favorite in all four local sprints. He earned a better number in a runner-up finish in a similar synthetic sprint Aug. 18. Hector Diaz Jr. got acquainted with him last time and he is 0-for-12 with Timothy Hamm (5 minor placings).
