#3 Calvin’s Ride (5-2) was part of the exacta in nine of ten local attempts (10 5-4-0). He turned back, returned to this oval, and chased the pace and was clearly second best Sept. 7, and winner John Dutton clicked right back in the Power by Far Stakes Sept. 18. His winning rider Gaddiel Martinez stays put and a stalking trip is expected.
#4 Rocket Dragon (9-2) hit the board in his last two local sprints and his new trainer Nestor Rivera is 17% first after the claim. He drilled a bullet for this Sept. 16 and he likes this course (9 3-1-4) and distance (3 2-0-1).
#6 Jimmy the Hat (7-2) raced wide and finished last of 6 as a 38-1 outsider in the Presque Isle Mile Sept. 18. He landed the place in back-to-back races at this course and distance prior to his last start, and he has a good overall record at this course (13 4-3-2) and distance (8 2-4-1).
