#3 Blame It On Abby (5-1) scratched from the eighth race on Saturday (Mcl-12.5k, 5.5f dirt). She returned from a layoff of more than half a year and ended up a clear, distant third in a CA-bred Mcl-50k turf sprint May 8 (first lasix), and the runner-up was a next-out winner. She removes blinkers and returns to dirt.
#11 Candy Run (9-2) is a Danzing Candy filly and James Glenn, Jr. is 3-for-8 with FTS. She drilled a local half-mile gate bullet for this May 1.
#4 Cotta Ride (9-2) broke slow and finished up the track in her state bred MSW turf sprint bow. She switched surfaces, added blinkers, and stalked the place and was 2nd of 11 in a similar dirt sprint when last seen at DMR November 2025. Joel Rosario takes the call.
#6 Baby Needs Shoes (7-2) settled for minor awards in her last three starts at this level. She removes blinkers and Kazushi Kimura in her new rider, and Peter Miller is a profitable 20% with his maiden claiming starters.
#10 Hayley Amber (4-1) hit the board in all four starts and this is her first outing since May 2024. Her new trainer is 0-for-20 this year.
