Horse Comments:
#2 Uncle Truly (3-1) is a turf route specialist trying all-weather ground for the first time, and Juan Arriagada is sending out live runners at Presque Isle (10 2-4-1). I like his stalking style and he attracts quality local rider Pablo Morales.
#9 Growth Capital (9-5) landed the place in four of seven starts for Chad Brown. Juan Arriagada claimed him for $25k Jan. 25 and he won his last three turf routes at Tampa Bay. He was the betting favorite in all of his starts and is the chalk again in his first attempt on all-weather ground.
#4 Tempus (12-1) rallied to hit the board in his last three local routes and he has a good overall record at Presque Isle (34 6-6-8). He can spice up the exotics.
#6 Tarhe (4-1) got loose early and kept on going in a turf route at Tampa Bay April 26. He is sharp and owns running style versatility, but his 0-for-2 record on all-weather ground is a concern.
#3 Hacksaw Ridge (9-2) added lasix, battled through strong fractions, and cruised to a sharp Mcl-40k win at LRL March 8. He got caught in a duel and wilted in the mud April 12, and romping winner Roll On Jesse clicked right back as the favorite at Delaware May 17. This $175k Street Sense gelding drilled a Pimlico bullet for this May 3.
