#6 Adios Buccaneer (7-2) was part of the trifecta in seven of his last nine starts. He moved to the Lisa Allen barn and won a local $25k flat mile affair on May 26, and was a close 4th of 9 in a similar local spot on June 17. A stalking trip is expected.
#7 Calvin’s Ride (3-1) moved to the Kevin Rice barn and rallied to miss by a half-length at 25-1 odds on June 17. That was his first local attempt and he ran well, and he can get involved in the stretch if the pace if honest.
#3 Tempus (7-2) was 5th of 9 in the common June 17 affair. This is his third start after a layoff and he can come running for a share.
#2 Halon (9-2) exits a romping local route win vs. $6250k/2L foes from the outside post as the favorite on June 6. He faces tougher foes but might not be out of this.
