Check out my Tuesday (12-23-25) Delta Downs Race 8 analysis below.
DED 8 (Rosewater, LA-bred F&M, 7.5f dirt) – Post Time 4:16 PM ET
Primary – #4 LA NINA DORADA, #5 Mo For Us
Secondary – #7 Nodah, #2 Blessed Assurance
Horse Comments:
#4 La Nina Dorada (9-2) always finishes in the top three on dirt (8 3-2-3). She exits a front running win at Delta and should make her presence felt from the outset. She graduated in a local MSW affair at 6.5f and this is her longest career test.
#5 Mo for Us (8-5) aired as the strong favorite in the slop at Fair Grounds on Dec. 4. Steve Asmussen’s consistent filly projects a stalking trip and tries a longer distance in her first local attempt.
#7 Nodah (7-2) rallied to miss by a neck in this event last year and she is 2-for-7 with a trio of underneath finishes since. She has yet to finish out of the trifecta at Delta (8 2-2-4).
#2 Blessed Assurance (8-1) was part of the trifecta in her last four starts and earned an improved number in a local 4-length tally at 6.5f on Nov. 15. She rates a look from off the pace if she runs as fast as she did last time.
