Golden Gate Fields
GG 8 (G3 San Francisco Mile, 8T) #4 MURAD KHAN (6-1) stretches back out, and he is 6-for-13 at this distance. He showed decent late interest in 2 of his last 3 turf sprints for O’Neill, and he figures to stalk the pace at this distance. Frey is riding well on turf. #5 Simply Breathless (12-1) was outclassed in her last two grade one starts. She does her best work at one mile, and she captured the Golden Poppy at Golden Gate last year. #7 Neptune’s Storm (3-1) needed his Shoemaker Mile (G1) return. The early-pressing type is a stakes winner at this distance, but I am concerned that he will take too much win action. #3 Majestic Eagle (10-1) is a first time gelding for Drysdale, and sharp turf rider Rispoli got to know him in the Thunder Road (G3) Feb. 8. The top three finishers from the All American at one mile on all-weather are back in this spot, but this is a deeper field, and they might be vulnerable. The one horse from that race worth using is probably #8 Restrainedvengence (5-2). He has struck four times on turf including an easy local stakes score last fall.
