Wagers: #5 to win, Exacta 1-5/1-5-7, Trifecta 1-5/1-3-5-6/7, Superfecta 1-5/1-3-5-6-7/1-5-7/2-4
Comments: #5 Desert Oasis (8-1) ran into Dogtag in her last pair, and that one would be a solid favorite if she was in this race. She set the pace and could not navigate the ten panels in the Possibly Perfect, and was in solid form before that. I am looking for her to revert to patient tactics in this spot, and she broke her maiden in a local turf route last summer. #1 Super Patriot (8-5) blasted home in the Fran’s Valentine June 6. Prat rides back and the 3-time local turf winner could easily mow these down. #7 Sedamar (7-2) is a gem of consistency, and she always runs her race at this course and distance. I like her stalking speed and she is a solid trifecta threat. #3 Ziarah (4-1) has won four straight in NoCal on different surfaces, and she is 2-for-2 at this trip on turf. If she is ever going to win a stakes race, this is the time. #6 Cordiality (8-1) should be loose on the lead and might be fitter in her second start after a long layoff. She likes this course and distance. I would like her more if she had one more start. #2 Don’t Blame Judy (8-1) enters in decent form and is capable of rallying for a share on her best day. She is really not a win threat. #4 Meal Ticket (12-1) exits a runner-up finish in the Golden Poppy at GG. The 2-time local winner seems to be rounding back into form and can be considered underneath.
