Grade 3 Senator Ken Maddy – Winner: Biddy Duke ($20.20)
Magic At Midnight was the odds-on favorite but she broke slow and was not able to seize control early like she did in her other wins. Biddy Duke had the best early speed and Jo Jo Air chased from 2nd. This was a match race throughout and Jo Jo Air got close to Biddy Duke in the lane but the latter held on by a head in a game victory. An Eddie Surprise stalked from 3rd and held that spot by a neck over Aqua Seaform Shame. Magic At Midnight was a non-threatening 5th and Lakerball trailed throughout.

Lure Stakes – Winner: One Bad Boy ($3.20)
One Bad Boy likes to get out there and control the pace, and he did just that in this flat mile stakes race. Flavien Prat pushed him out of the gate and he seized command early. The Black Album tried to apply pressure from the outside post, but One Bad Boy swatted him away, along with presser Gregorian Chant, and he kicked clear by almost two lengths in the stretch and safely held off Majestic Eagle to score by a bit less than a length. Gregorian Chant was best of the rest in 3rd and ran a quality race. Muran Khan was no threat in 4th and The Black Album faded to last.
Goldikova Stakes (G2) – Winner: Maxim Rate ($6.80)
Umberto Rispoli sure gets along with Maxim Rate. He sat patiently in 5th place as even money favorite Raymundos Secret carved out the fractions. Tonahutu pressed the pace and never let the leader get comfortable. Maxim Rate made a smart wide run and went right by the leaders to win by a comfortable 2-1/2 lengths. Zee Drop threatened to run a good one against this type of company before but never quite came through. This time, she settled early and rallied nicely for the place. Tonahutu lost 2nd late and Raymundos Secret weakened to 4th. Overseas shipper Silberpfeil broke slow, lacked room, and ended up an okay 5th. Atomic Blonde and Hang a Star trailed.
