Comments: #3 Barrister Tom (5-1) won his first two turf starts and did not have any real shot in the Bourbon (G2) Oct. 4. In that event, he stalked wide from post 10 and weakened to 8th place in a fast early affair. I like his early-pressing versatility and these West Coast turfers take turns beating each other. #5 Cathkin Peak (5-1) smartly captured his US bow from off the pace for Prat/D’Amato. He has only started twice and has plenty of room for development. The other five entrants exit the Cecil B. DeMille (G3), and any of those runners can compete here (#1 Big Fish, #2 Commander Khai, #4 Beer Can Man, #6 Party Game, #7 Ebeko).
