Check out my Race 9 analysis for 3-4-24 below.

SA 9 (Mcl-50k, 8T)
Primary – #7 GORILLA BOY, #4 Transcendental
Secondary – #6 Potential Spam, #8 Gold Foot, #1 When Heroes Fly

Wagers: #7 to win, Trifecta 4-6-7/1-4-6-7-8/1-4-6-7-8

Comments: #7 Gorilla Boy (5-1) was along for the show in his MSW turf route bow. He was unplaced in his last two starts and he adds lasix and drops into a maiden claimer for the first time. Dettori is his new rider and he will try to get involved from off the pace. #4 Transcendental (4-1) was an okay 6th of 11 in his MSW turf route bow at KEE last fall, and the runner-up was a next-out winner. He added blinkers and switched to all-weather ground second time out, and he pressed the pace and faded. He adds lasix and removes blinkers, and those are strong angles for Jonathan Thomas. He drops and returns to turf, and dam has tossed a turf winner. #6 Potential Spam (5-1) is a first time gelding for O’Neill and Fresu strings along. He dropped to this level, added lasix, and put blinkers back on Jan. 20, and he raced evenly. #8 Gold Foot (7-2) dropped from MSW to Mcl-50k Jan. 20, and he stalked the pace and landed the place in an improved effort. #1 When Heroes Fly (4-1) ran 12th and last in his MSW turf route bow at 77-1 odds late last year, and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He resurfaced in a local $50k maiden claiming turf route Jan. 20, and he added blinkers and lasix, attended the pace from the inside post, and missed the place by a head. The Bolt d’Oro colt lands the rail again and should make his presence felt from the outset.
