Comments: #5 Magic Michael (9-2) finished a neck behind Shaft’s Bullet Feb. 25, and he was 7 lengths in front of the show finisher that day. He has a good overall record at this course and distance, and he might offer a hint of value. #1 Shaft’s Bullet (4-1) is 3-for-5 with a pair of underneath finishes in local flat mile dirt races. He exits a late running victory as the 3-2 favorite at this course and distance. #2 Nimitz Class (8-5) misfired in his last two graded starts. He likes this course and distance, and might be able to bounce back in his third start after a layoff. #4 It’s Sizzling Time (7-2) exits back-to-back local wins including an 11-1 upset in the John B. Campbell. He won at this distance Dec. 31 and will try to get involved late.
