Comments: #4 Missed the Cut (6-5) smartly won the G3 Tokyo City at a mile and a half on dirt last fall, and ran last when pitched in over his head in the G1 BC Classic. He rallied for the place in the G2 San Gabriel at 9T in December, and stalked from the inside post and edged clear by a length and a quarter as the favorite in the G3 San Marcos at 10T Feb. 10. Fresu is his new pilot and he should work out a comfortable stalking trip. #5 Planetario (2-1) rallied for the place in this event last year, and cruised in the G3 San Juan Capistrano at 14T. He tailed off in his next three starts and bounced back with a win in the G2 Hollywood Turf Cup at 12T in November. He rallied to finish a clear second behind Missed the Cut in the G3 San Marcos Feb. 10. He is probably using this race as a prep for a title defense in the San Juan Capistrano. #2 Offlee Naughty (4-1) makes his first start since October 2023. He runs well fresh and won this race last year, and should be finishing under his new rider Hernandez. He is using this as a springboard to the San Juan Capistrano.
