Check out my Tuesday (4-23-24) Race 9 analysis at Parx below.
PRX 9 (Str-OC-16k, 3&up, 6.5f)
Primary – #2 NEIGH DUDE, #8 Masrour
Secondary – #10 Causes Trouble, #6 Roundtree
Horse Comments:
#2 Neigh Dude (9-2) settled for minor awards in his last five starts. He is 3-for-23 at Parx and 1-for-9 with seven minor awards at 6 1/2 panels. He was on the wrong end of the win photo as the beaten favorite in his last pair. This is his second start after the Michael Moore claim and apprentice rider Eliseo Ruiz stays put. He might be in the right stalking spot at a hint of a price.
#8 Masrour (5-2) is a 9-for-19 pro, and he is 4-for-5 with a runner-up finish at this distance. The early-pressing gelding should be all over the pace under his regular rider Dexter Haddock.
#10 Causes Trouble (7-2) was part of the trifecta in 9 of his last 10 starts. The consistent gelding should make his presence felt from the outset.
#6 Mr. Roundtree (5-1) is a relatively consistent 8-year-old gelding. He reconnects with Frankie Pennington and will try to get involved from off the pace.
