Check out my Sunday (4-28-24) Race 6 analysis at Aqueduct below.
AQU 6 (Memories of Silver, 8T)
Primary – #5 LIVING MAGIC, #2 Sweet Rebecca
Secondary – #1 Curlin’s Girl, #4 Miss Mottley, #7 Youknownothing
Horse Comments:
#5 Living Magic (5-1) did not have a great start or trip when finishing 7th of 12 in the Grade 2 Appalachian at Keeneland on April 6. She upset the Chelsea Flower at this course and distance last fall, and her new rider Kendrick Carmouche will probably pick out a nice forward position in the early going.
#2 Sweet Rebecca (9-5) overcame some things in her bow. She had an uncomfortable start, raced wide, and rallied late to secure the win by a length for Brendan Walsh on March 10. Chad Brown is her new trainer and Tyler Gaffalione wins races with this barn.
#1 Curlin’s Girl (6-1) fired trifecta shots in all five maiden starts. She landed the place in both turf attempts, and rallied to graduate in an all-weather route at Gulfstream on March 24.
#4 Miss Mottley (3-1) was professional in her flat mile turf bow at Tampa Bay. She stalked controlled fractions from the inside post and got up late to win by a half-length. Irad Ortiz is a profitable 35% with Chad Brown recently.
#7 Youknownothing (6-1) got up by a neck at 8-1 odds in her all-weather route bow at Gulfstream last fall. She rallied to finished a clear second as the beaten favorite in a turf route at Tampa Bay on Jan. 3, and was an even fourth in the Bourbonette Oaks on March 23.
