Check out my Friday (6-14-24) Santa Anita Park Race 10 analysis below.

SA 10 (Mcl-50k, 8T) – Post Time 8:37pm EDT
Primary – #2 DEALERS SPECIAL, #7 Legitimate Target
Secondary – #11 Tribal, #6 Quintecents

Horse Comments:

#2 Dealers Special (4-1) split a 10-horse field (beaten 1.5 lengths) in the same race morning line favorite Legitimate Target exits. That was his first start for Richard Baltas and first start in more than half a year, and he added lasix and raced evenly as the beaten favorite that day. Umberto Rispoli knows him now and is 3-for-9 with Baltas recently, and this one could easily move forward and graduate.

#7 Legitimate Target (5-2) was 6th of 13 (beaten 3 lengths) in his long ago all-weather route bow in Ireland (December 2022). He was 6-1 in his local turf route return for Phil D’Amato on May 19 and ended up a close third after stalking the pace (placed 2nd thru disqualification). Antonio Fresu stays put and D’Amato shows a profit with his second lasix starters.

#11 Tribal (3-1) shows up in a maiden claimer for the first time and Richard Mandella is a profitable 24% with this type of class dropper. Juan Hernandez takes the call and he drilled a bullet for this May 25. They might be on a send mission from the outside post.

#6 Quintecents (4-1) is hard to take seriously as a win contender (0-for-18) but can definitely hit the board (10 minor awards). He should impact the pace.
