#7 Quick Quick Whit (5-1) turned back and finished a neck behind Global Pride on April 29, and came through with a strong maiden win as the favorite on May 21. He dueled and weakened to fourth from the inside post on June 5. He landed the outside post this time and figures to revert to stalking tactics, and the price might be right.
#5 Global Pride (2-1) figured things out in his last three outings. He rallied to finish a clear second on Jan. 2, and got up by a neck to graduate on April 29. He exits a neck defeat vs. this kind and might show a bit more in his third start after a layoff.
#3 Last Cookie (3-1) picked up minor checks in his last five attempts on conventional dirt. The 1-for-19 gelding can get a piece of the purse once again.
#4 Cloak and Dagger (6-1) removed blinkers, turned back, and finished full of run to graduate by 2 3/4 lengths on June 12. The sophomore gelding may have found his niche as an off the pace sprinter, and he might be able to step up his game and play ball with these.
