Check out my Monday (7-15-24) Finger Lakes Race 7 analysis below.

FL 7 (New York Derby, NY-bred 3yo, 8.5f) – Post Time 3:54pm EDT
Primary – #1 DOC SULLIVAN
Secondary – #4 Pandagate, #2 Elysian Meadows

Horse Comments:

#1 Doc Sullivan (5-2) always runs his race regardless of track condition. He earned an above par number in a strong victory in the Mike Lee at seven panels in the slop on June 9. Javier Castellano is 2-for-2 with the versatile colt.

#4 Pandagate (7-5) makes his first start since an okay show finish in the UAE Derby (G2) in March. He won both starts vs. New York-bred foes and is a logical contender from off the pace. He is 2-for-2 around one turn and 0-for-2 in two turn races.

#2 Elysian Meadows (4-1) fired in all three state bred starts. He won his first two sprints, struggled in a trio of open stakes, and exits a solid show finish in the Mike Lee. He might be better around one turn.
