Horse Comments:
#2 Sohana (6-1) fired trifecta shots in her first five dirt sprints and improved her speed ratings in all of those races. She switched to turf, broke last from the rail, and split an 8-horse field in a turf sprint stakes race on June 14. Brad Cox is strong with his first route starters and her winning rider Flavien Prat is 4-for-11 with this outfit recently.
#5 Cap Ferrat (9-2) set the pace and graduated by a neck in her seven panel bow on dirt and the clear runner-up was a next-out winner. She stretches out in her second career start. Let’s see how she acts prior to the race. She misbehaved in the paddock and scratched twice previously.
#4 My Shea D Lady (8-1) ran well in back-to-back similar dirt sprint stakes races in December 2023 and April 2024, and was an even 5th of 8 in a turf sprint stakes affair on June 14. Her winning rider Javier Castellano strings along and she fits with these.
#1 Tour Jete (10-1) is still a maiden after three starts. She landed the place twice on dirt including a good effort in her local maiden claiming return at one mile in the mud on June 9. She is getting faster and Jose Ortiz got to know her last time.
