Horse Comments:
#4 Boxed Wine (6-1) was strong from off the pace in her turf route maiden win on May 4, and had uncomfortable trips when finishing 5th on May 25 and June 23. She rallied for the show in a local turf route on July 21 and Wednesday’s favorite Awesome Czech beat her by a length and a half that day. She would not have to run much faster to win this and she might offer a hint of value.
#2 Summer Whirl (3-1) is lightly raced and still has upside for Graham Motion. She ran out of ground when getting up for the show in her turf sprint bow, and rallied to miss by a neck as the beaten 3-2 favorite in a local turf route on July 5. She was the favorite again on July 27 and she got up by a neck. John Velazquez sticks with the promising $240k Arrogate filly and she should be finishing best of all.
#6 Awesome Czech (5-2) is a decent turf router with early-pressing versatility. She stalked and scored in her maiden win last September, split a 10-horse field in the Chelsey Flower, and set the pace and missed by a neck in the Tepin. She needed her Wild Applause return on June 22 and stalked and scored in a local entry level allowance affair on July 21. This is her third start after a layoff but she has yet to run two like and the price might be wrong.
#7 Munny Grab (5-1) blew the break and came running for the show in a local turf route on July 24. Tyler Gaffalione knows her now and she will try to get involved from off the pace.
