#5 Modarosa (8-5) shipped to this oval and smartly wired the field as the strong favorite in a local state bred special weight affair on June 17. Riley Mott is 6-for-9 at Presque Isle and this filly sports back-to-back Keeneland bullets for this. She looks like the controlling speed.
#7 Fleur Delacour (4-1) was part of the trifecta in all five local starts. Modarosa handled her with ease on June 17 and she ran well in all three starts since. She projects a tactical trip and should be in the mix if she maintains form.
#8 Cloud in the Wind (5-1) was clearly second best as the beaten favorite on July 9 and made it through the $25k/2L level as the chalk on July 30. She has the productive Pablo Morales and Tim Girten team in her corner, and an outside stalking trip is expected.
