Check out my Friday (9-13-24) Belmont at Aqueduct Race 9 analysis below.
BAQ 9 (Winter Memories, 3yo fillies, 8T) – Post Time 5:13 p.m. EDT
Primary – #5 WHISKEY DECISION. #8 Dynamic Pricing
Secondary – #12 Proctor Street, #7 Poolside With Slim
Horse Comments:
#5 Whiskey Decision (6-1) battled through above par splits before weakening as the beaten favorite in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks at 1 1/8 miles on Aug. 17. Iscreamuscream won that race for Phil D’Amato and that talented filly is 4-for-4 and she also won the San Clemente (G2) on July 20. This filly won her other two turf routes including the Christiana Stakes in July. Arnaud Delacour has good stats with horses removing blinkers and she could easily bounce back at this shorter trip in her third start after a short layoff.
#8 Dynamic Pricing (5-2) earned a nice late pace rating when rallying to finish a close third in the Lake Placid (G2) on Aug. 17. Chad Brown’s filly won the Edgewood (G2) earlier this year and can get involved late if the pace is honest.
#12 Proctor Street (5-1) rallied to win both turf routes for Brendan Walsh, and the runner-up and show finisher from her July 18 race at Saratoga were both next-out winners.
#7 Poolside With Slim (5-1) reconnects with her winning Penn Oaks pilot Frankie Dettori. She is versatile and Rusty Arnold shows a profit with shippers.
