#10 Take a Stand (5-1) exits a close show finish in the Ellis Park Turf. She graduated in an all-weather route at Turfway in January and missed by a head at that same venue on March 8. She should offer a hint of value.
#4 Sand and Sea (5-2) finished 8th of 14 in the Ontario Matron (G3) at Woodbine last time. She is 4-for-6 on all-weather ground and Riley Mott is 11-for-17 at the current meet. This mare wired the field in a local optional-claiming race on July 22. Antonio Gallardo rode her that day and he is 5-for-7 with this barn recently.
#6 Strikingly Spun (5-1) added blinkers and landed the show in an optional-claiming turf route at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 11. She has won twice on wet tracks and once on turf, and this is her first attempt on all-weather ground.
#1 Callie’s Grit (7-2) went all the way in her three victories. She graduated in the slop and won twice on turf. She should attend the pace from the inside post under quality local rider Gaddiel Martinez.
