Check out my Thursday (11-14-24) Aqueduct Race 8 analysis below.

AQU 8 (Clm-10k, 7f dirt) – Post Time  3:40 PM ET
Primary – #6 WINTER’S GHOST, #10 Classic Mark
Secondary – #7 Nolo Contesto, #3 High Heat

Horse Comments:

#6 Winter’s Ghost (7-2) went 5-for-13 in 2023 and is 0-for-8 with two minor placings this year. He dueled from the inside post and missed by a half-length in a local $16k flat mile affair Oct. 3, and dueled from the inside post and weakened to 8th of 10 as the beaten favorite Oct. 19. He drilled a bullet for this Nov. 4 and he flees the rail and drops in class.

#10 Classic Mark (4-1) stalked wide from the outside post, led, and missed by a half-length in the slop Sept. 29, and winner Hatch clicked right back Nov. 1. Wayne Potts claimed him for $10k last time and another outside stalking trip is expected.

#7 Nolo Contesto (5-2) is an 8-year-old underachiever with a 4-for-41 career record (16 underneath finishes). He was a wide 8th of 11 from an outer post as the beaten favorite Sept. 1 and Rob Atras claimed him for $16k. He dueled and finished 3rd as the beaten favorite at the $16k level Oct. 12, and dropped a notch and faded as the beaten chalk Nov. 1. The dropping favorite is 0-for-7 at Aqueduct and 0-for-4 at seven panels.

#3 High Heat (3-1) moved to the Wayne Potts barn and hit the board in his last three dirt sprints. He wired the field in a local 6f sprint Feb. 10, and returned to this level and rallied for the show from the inside post as the beaten favorite in the local slop Sept. 29.
