#1 Caper’s Hooley (4-1) is a lightly raced 3-year-old gelding and he improved his speed ratings in all four starts. He set the pace in his two good efforts and should make his presence felt from the outset.
#4 Over and Ollie (7-2) turns back for solid shipping trainer Al Stall Jr. and recent hot rider Jose Ortiz takes the call. He owns competitive speed ratings and projects a stalking trip.
#3 Comanche Warrior (4-1) had his 3-race win streak snapped at Evangeline Downs in a runner-up finish ad the favorite behind a romping winner Aug. 9. He has won at Fair grounds before and I like his early-pressing versatility.
