#10 Run Classic (6-1) did not care for the mud in a flat mile race at Delta Downs Nov. 8 so I will just draw a line through that one. I like the looks of his overall form in sprint races on fast dirt and the tactical type might bounce back at playable odds in his third start after a layoff. He was part of the exacta in 5 of 6 starts at this distance including a victory earlier this year in the Gulfstream Park Sprint.
#5 Kavod (9-2) was part of the exacta in 4 of his last 5 starts. He exits a dirt sprint win at Churchill Downs as the favorite and figures to stalk the pace.
#7 Tejano Twist (7-2) always finishes in the top three at Oaklawn (8 3-4-1). The consistent gelding has not won since the local Ring the Bell late last year. He will try to get involved late in his third start after a layoff.
#3 Banishing (5-1) is in fine form for David Jacobson. He won a $62.5k extended sprint at Keeneland Oct. 18 and missed by a head in the slop Nov. 6. He was the favorite in an extended sprint at Churchill Nov. 23 and he rallied to win that race by 3 1/2 lengths. He shortens up a furlong and will try to get involved late.
