Horse Comments:
#1 Ghee for the Win (5-2) rallied wide from post 10 and completed the trifecta in a $30k/2L turf route at Laurel Park Nov. 2. She graduated on dirt and sports two bullets for this engagement. An inside stalking trip is expected.
#5 Channel Loop (2-1) was part of the trifecta in five straight maiden races this year from March through September, including a romping win in the slop by 6 1/2 lengths. She finished an even 4th of 10 in her first start vs. winners Nov. 2, and she is back on dirt and figures to stalk the pace. Thursday’s rider Angel Rodriguez rode her twice earlier this year and she was on the wrong end of the win photo in both of those turf routes at Laurel.
#7 Fleeting Ember (6-1) raced wide and was clearly second best behind a runaway winner in a local dirt sprint at 57-1 odds Dec. 6. She graduated in a local dirt sprint in June and Tim Kreiser is a profitable 30% with his sprint/route starters.
#4 Style and Profile (8-1) earned the best last-race number when graduating by a half-length in a flat mile affair at Laurel Park Oct. 25 and the clear runner-up was a next-out winner. The fresh Gun Runner filly gets the services of quality local rider Julio Hernandez.
