#7 Goes the Clown (3-1) rallied mildly to finish 4th of 11 in a slow early/fast late renewal of the Showing Up at 8.5T Nov. 2. He stalked the pace and hit the board in his other two turf route attempts. Samuel Marin got to know him last time and he is enjoying a productive meet. The sophomore gelding owns a rising numbers pattern.
#4 Why Not Me (5-2) ran well in his last five starts on three different surfaces and he won three of those races. He graduated in a local turf route in April and missed by a neck in a similar turf route at Tampa Bay Nov. 29. He should be all over the pace under his winning rider Pablo Morales.
#1 Legitimize (5-1) chased, led, and missed by a neck in his local turf route bow Feb. 24. He resurfaced in a turf route at Saratoga Aug. 8 and he went all the way that day. He was the favorite in an allowance turf route at Keeneland Oct. 18 and he chased the pace and weakened to 11th of 12. The lightly raced Justify gelding sports three local works for this and should impact the pace from the inside post.
#6 Rose Collector (15-1) got going too late and split a 10-horse field (beaten 1 1/2 lengths) in a local entry level allowance turf route Nov. 29 (Why Not Me 2nd). He should be running late and might be able to land a share.
