Horse Comments:
#5 Prince of Chill (3-1) finished in the top three in 6 of his last 7 starts. He had a bad start and rallied for the place in the mud behind a runaway winner at this course/distance Nov. 26. He likes this oval and earned decent numbers in both starts at this trip.
#4 Sunday Spirit (5-2) exits back-to-back prominent throughout wins at this course and distance. His numbers jumped up in those victories and he should make his presence felt from the outset for a productive jockey-trainer team.
#1 Patriarchal (5-1) had his 4-race trifecta streak snapped when fading in the mud Nov. 26 (Prince of Chill 2nd). Esteban Padilla shows a profit with his dirt route starters and his new rider Abner Adorno shows a profit with this outfit. He is the inside speed.
#8 Shogun Be Fast (9-2) is a 3-year-old colt with speed and the Churchill Downs shipper has a profitable dirt route conditioner in his corner. He should be all over the pace.
