Horse Comments:
#9 Sweet Gal of Mine (6-1) fired in her first three dirt sprints (2023), and wired the field in a local all-weather sprint (February 2024). She was off her game in her last three starts and Michael McCarthy gave her a freshening. She drilled a Churchill bullet for this Dec. 19 and her new rider Abel Cedillo shows a profit with early-pressing types.
#3 Work to Live (6-1) is a California shipper turning back in distance and retuning to all-weather footing. William Morey is her new trainer and she likes all-weather ground (12- 5-3-2). She has won at this distance before.
#6 Gloriannia (3-1) stalked the pace and ran well in her last five starts at Woodbine. William Walden has her now and he has good stats with new additions to his barn. The 9-year-old mare has never been better and projects a stalking trip under Adam Beschizza. She is entered for the $25k tag.
#2 Progeny (4-1) rallied to miss by a neck in a $50k claiming dirt sprint at Churchill Nov. 29, and she got the best last-race number for that effort. Genero Garcia has okay stats first after the claim but he is struggling at Turfway (16 0-0-0).
#12 Summer of Mischief (6-1) is a dirt sprinter with early speed. She had her 10-race trifecta streak snapped when finishing 5th of 9 as the beaten favorite at Churchill Nov. 9. Ed Moger Jr. claimed her out of that race and she adds blinkers and might be the one to catch.
