#6 Further Evidence (4-1) earned improved numbers in his last pair. He pressed the pace and rolled to a big local flat mile maiden win on dirt Dec. 11, and turned back and rallied for the place from post 11 as the beaten favorite Dec. 26. He hit the board in 2 of 4 turf starts and looks like a solid contender on the surface switch.
#2 Pacific Theater (5-1) is a Remington Park shipper returning to turf. Wade Rarick is 6-for-11 at Turf Paradise and this 4-year-old gelding is 2-for-4 on turf. He should be running late.
#4 Uncharted (5-1) relocated from California to Arizona in November and he fired trifecta shots in his last three starts for sharp local trainer Vann Belvoir. His winning rider Karlo Lopez stays put and a stalking trip is expected.
#7 Run Bryce Run (5-1) was part of the trifecta in his last four maiden starts on turf. He rallied to graduate by 5 lengths in a local 8T affair Dec. 26. He finished a half-length behind Uncharted Nov. 11, and was a length and a quarter behind that runner Nov. 29.
