Check out my Thursday (1-16-25) Santa Anita Park Race 10 analysis below.

SA 10 (Clm-25k, 8T) – Post Time 7:27 PM ET
Primary – #2 SBAGLIATO, #3 Bizee Channel
Secondary – #6 Exultation, #5 Great King, #12 Sydney Street

Horse Comments:

#2 Sbagliato (5-2) won a local $25k/2L turf race at 9T Oct. 11. He rallied to miss by a neck in a $30k/3L affair at 9T, and cut back a furlong and scored as the favorite in a $20k/3L event Nov. 22. Vladimir Cerin claimed him last time and Flavien Prat is his new rider.

#3 Bizzee Channel (9-2) is a 9-year-old gelding with three wins at 8T. He drops into a claiming race and Frankie Dettori wins races with Jonathan Thomas. A stalking trip is expected.

#6 Exultation (3-1) was the favorite in a $25k claimer at 8T Nov. 24 and did not have the smoothest trip when finishing 3rd of 11 (beaten 1 1/2 lengths). The 10-year-old gelding has struck five times at SA and is 2-for-4 at this distance. The versatile sort was the favorite in his last seven starts and he won three of those races. He can still run a bit and his winning rider Juan Hernandez stays put.

#5 Great King (5-1) makes his second start after the Librado Barocio claim. Last time, he turned back, returned to dirt, and stalked inside and weakened at LRC. He handles two turns on turf.

#12 Sydney Street (5-1) saved ground from the inside post, moved out, and beat this kind at DMR Nov. 24. He will have to work out a different trip from a wide post under his new rider Umberto Rispoli.
