Check out my Tuesday (2-18-25) Turf Paradise Race 5 analysis below.
TUP 5 (OC-12.5k/1x, 4&up, One mile dirt) – Post Time 4:50 PM ET
Primary – #6 HEAT N REHEAT, #7 Paco’s Pico
Secondary – #3 Race Home, #5 Ronamo
Horse Comments:
#6 Heat N Reheat (5-2) battled on the pace and won an OC-16k/1x affair by 2 lengths at this distance last April. He won again at Fresno in an $8k claimer at one mile in September. He misfired in his next three NoCal starts and returned to this oval and set the pace and landed the place at this trip Jan. 29. He should make his presence felt from the outset.
#7 Paco’s Pico (5-1) turned back and rallied for the win in a local $8k claimer as the favorite at six panels Feb. 4. He stretches back out and has won at this distance before.
#3 Race Home (2-1) exits a rallying show finish at Century Downs in Canada. The 8-year-old gelding has won five times at Turf Paradise and is 4-for-13 at one mile.
#5 Ronamo (8-1) stalked wide from the outside post and finished 5th of 8 at this course/distance Jan. 25. He lands a middle post this time and is 1-for-12 with six minor awards at one mile. He can get a piece of the purse.
