Horse Comments:
#4 Ruth (5-1) might offer a hint of value for the productive Johnny V/Pletcher team. She was 60 cents on the dollar in her local flat mile bow late last year, and she was patiently handled and rallied to beat next-out winner Queen in the Deck. She shipped to Aqueduct for the Busanda at 1 1/8 miles Jan. 18 and stumbled badly at the start and never got involved. She is back in Florida and sports a pair of works for this, and she can bounce back if she gets out of the gate in good order. She adds blinkers and lasix.
#2 Blueberry Hill (2-1) got to the front and kept on rolling in her sharp local debut at five panels Jan. 30. Irad Ortiz, Jr. stays put and she might be the one to catch, but her aforementioned stablemate might be the better gamble.
#1 Quinn’s Promise (10-1) completed the trifecta on three occasions. She figures to save ground stalking the pace and might get a piece of the purse at a price.
#6 Justinqueso (8-5) stalked from the inside post and was clearly second best in her sprint bow, and she was placed first through disqualification. She had an uncomfortable trip in the G3 Forward Gal last time and never really got into the race, and show finisher The Queens M G returned to win the G2 Davona Dale last weekend. She adds lasix and tries a route of ground after two sprints.
