#8 Moment’s Pleasure (5-1) won the Solana Beach at DMR last summer. She picked up an optional-claiming win at 8T Dec. 26 and stalked the pace and completed the trifecta at 6.5T in the Sunshine Million Filly & Mare Turf Sprint Jan. 18. She stretched back out and finished a flat 5th of 6 at 9T Feb. 9, and she turns back and Flavien Prat strings along. I like the outside draw and she is fast enough to compete with these.
#6 Shocking Grey (5-1) stalked outside and smartly captured the Sunshine F&M Turf Sprint by 2 1/4 lengths at 8-1 odds Jan. 18. She sold at auction since that race and George Papaprodromou is her new trainer. Antonio Fresu rides back and she is a logical contender from off the pace if able to run two alike.
#2 Tam’s Little Angel (6-1) stalked and scored in a local $32k claimer at 6T Jan. 19, and stalked outside and won an optional-claimer at 6.5T Feb. 8. The sharp stalker should get the jump on the late runners.
#5 Pushiness (3-2) is the one to catch under Umberto Rispoli. She won the CTBA in 2023 and the Fleet Treat in 2024, and was third in her lone turf sprint try at 5T. I respect her early speed but she is much more accomplished on dirt and the price is low.
#4 Sneaker (7-2) is a flat mile specialist with early-pressing speed. This is her first start since November and Frankie Dettori takes the call.
